Hey friends, happy Wednesday!

Hey friends, happy Wednesday.

Over the last two years, we’ve told a very simple story about AI at work.

It makes everything faster.

Faster coding.
Faster reporting.
Faster research.
Faster support.

Speed has been the headline.

But speed is rarely the real story in technological revolutions.

If you zoom out, something more structural is happening.

Execution is becoming abundant.

And whenever something becomes abundant, it stops being the primary source of value.

In the industrial era, machines replaced physical effort.
In the digital era, software replaced coordination friction.
In the AI era, systems are beginning to compress cognitive execution.

And when execution compresses, direction becomes the constraint.

This is the Automation Paradox:

The more machines do, the more human judgment matters.

Not because humans are irreplaceable.

But because responsibility does not disappear when automation scales.

It concentrates.

As AI systems ship faster, decisions happen faster.
As decisions happen faster, mistakes propagate faster.
As mistakes propagate faster, accountability becomes more expensive.

And expensive things attract compensation.

Today’s edition is not about whether AI will take jobs.

It’s about where value is migrating.

We’ll unpack:

– What McKinsey’s “Superagency” thesis actually implies for career leverage
– What enterprise adoption patterns quietly reveal about responsibility
– Why automation compresses execution but expands consequence
– The Judgment Stack that now determines compensation gradients
– Where salary divergence is widening in AI-native teams
– How interviews are subtly shifting from testing correctness to testing reasoning
– A 3–5 year roadmap to move upward in leverage
– And a 90-day playbook to build what I call judgment capital

Because the real question isn’t:

“Will AI replace me?”

It’s:

“Am I building value in the layer automation cannot easily absorb?”

Let’s explore.
